The opening event, Mystery Millions, attracted 3,446 players and surpassed its $5 million guarantee. The event started on December 3, with Daniel Negreanu, the GGPoker Global Ambassador, initiating the series. The first WSOP Paradise event launched at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, drawing poker enthusiasts worldwide.
